Chapter 2

I had gotten settled and wandered off to the place with the giant bell thing. When the bell is rung, it's a warning. In 20 minutes it will ring again and you must go to the place where it is. It either means meal-time or time for the next activity. So the bell had been rung for the second time. I went to the group of 30 kids and listened. The loud voice of a lady yelling through a megaphone rang out.

"Attention, boys and girls! It is time for your first activity! You may choose either swimming in the lake, hiking in the woods, camp cooking in the kitchen, or do something else! But! You may not do an activity if it isn't in the choices, as you probably know! That is all!" And the group walked away to whatever their destination was. I stayed, thinking of what to do.

A random boy came up to me and asked, "What's camp cooking?" "It's where you learn to cook things for when you go camping." I answered. The boy thanked me and went to another boy and talked to him. The other boy had curly hair. That's all I could see, though, because his back was facing me. I decided to go to the kitchen to do camp cooking.

So we (meaning those of us who chose camp cooking. Not many, only like 8.) each got our own table and the instructor gave us vegetables to chop. He showed us the proper way, so we don't chop something other than vegetables. After about 10 minutes, the boy with curly hair came in. The instructor, being the lazy freak he is, went away to read magazines. So the boy with curly hair came up to me. I noticed though, that I must have known him from somewhere.

"Hi, I'm Nick." He said to me. "But you probably already knew that." Aha! I thought. Nick Jonas! Wait, Nick Jonas?! What's he doing here? I just stood there, staring at him. Unfortunately, I didn't realize I was still chopping. "Ouch!" I yelled.
